Inspiration

I love nature! I particularly love Australian native flowers and leaves. One of my favourite things to do is find the hidden beauty in nature because often it is overlooked or trampled on. It is amazing to find the swirly engraved detail on a piece of bark or the fine detailed lines on a leaf or even just the way the water swirls around rocks in a gentle stream.

I love that every piece of nature is unique. There will always be hidden treasures to find and admire.  It is my passion to capture the beauty of nature and bring it indoors, whether on a table cloth or apron, so that families and friends can gather and enjoy lovely food together while appreciating beautiful, natural designs.

My approach is to create unique, high quality, handmade products that are hand screen printed so that you can provide beautiful hospitality to those you love.

Process

After being inspired by nature, the creative process then continues in a studio in Sydney, where my business is based. Nature inspired, digital images that I design, are embedded onto a silk screen and then printed onto natural fabrics. The screen printing part is exciting to watch and my friends and family love to see the action! The printing is when the designs come alive and art is being created. I am passionate about the handmade process because every unique product is lovingly created.

Once the screen printing process is completed, then my experience in pattern making and creating quality, handmade items really flourishes. Each item is hand sewn in the studio where I ensure each product is made with care and attention to detail, just how nature would have wanted it. My tried and tested designs deliver high quality products that will last for years to come.

I am passionate about producing quality, handmade products right here in Australia. I source my raw materials from Australia whenever it is possible. This means you are getting a quality product and while it might cost more initially, buying well-made, quality items are worth it in the end.

 

Designer

I trained at a fashion design college in Sydney over a decade ago and worked in the industry for a few years before starting a family with my husband Geoff. Before I had my first child in 2013, I started playing around with screen printing and I quickly discovered my passion for it! After falling in love with the design and printing process and growing my ranges of products, I created this brand! I love creating unique designs that capture the timeless beauty of nature in quality products that will seamlessly fit in your home and enhance your lifestyle for years to come.

I am a mother of three beautiful children who inspire me everyday. I love their curiosity in life. I love finding “treasures” on a bush walk with them and hope I can inspire them to find beauty in nature like my parents did for me.  I hope my children can find the beauty in a simple gum nut or an interesting leaf and have the patience to stop to watch for a small frog hiding among the water lilies.  When did we lose that natural child-like curiosity and fascination to explore the world? When did our lives become “too busy” to stop and search for treasures in nature? 

I hope that my designs can inspire people to have moments surrounded by nature where they are refreshed, inspired and energised by nature’s beauty.
